Science is, first and foremost, an adventure.

Adventurae Maris− Latin for adventures of the sea−is an old English legal term for the nomadic bits of a ship and its cargo that haunt the seas after a vessel goes down.  This section of The Raptor Lab brings you those scientific explorers who sail to their discipline’s earths end to fish through the flotsam and bring back the booty.  While Adventurae Maris (AM) is partial to all things soggy (currently moonlighting at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution), like all good adventures, you never know what you’re going to get.  Enjoy the wreckage : )
